SEBkinase From early 2008 neprinol does not contain SEBkinase.Sebkinase is simply a tradename of a specific manufacturer's nattokinase and serrapeptase sold as a blend. Nearly a year and a half ago, we replaced Sebkinase with a Nattokinase and Serrapeptase that we have sourced from a different vendor which tested to be much more potent; we can now ensure quality and consistency from lot to lot whereas before we could not. Testing the potency of Sebkinase is very difficult since it is a blend, so we could never be sure we were getting the same materials from batch to batch.(See activity level) "SEBkinase is a blend of peptizyme which we have replaced with serrapeptase and nattoseb which we have replaced with Nattokinase" The original Neprinol contained one single ingredient that was enteric coated and it was included as such because we had no other choice from the manufacturer. During the time of this change, our capsule color changed from white to clear, but the white color was simply soya powder, not evidence of an enteric coating.It would be rare to find a capsule enteric coated, it is common with tablets containing animal-derived enzymes. Most clinical studies on systemic enzymes including Nattokinase and Serrapeptase have been non-coated and shown to be very effective. The pH range of enzymes derived from non-animal sources is very wide and hence do not necessarily need the coating when taken on an empty stomach. We never have enteric coated our Nattokinase for this reason. (See neprinol study) |
